List of Healthy Breakfast Foods That Will Help You Lose Weight

If you are like me, then you probably want to make a list of healthy breakfast foods. I love getting out of bed and can’t start my day without a huge bowl of cereal or a giant bowl of eggs. Unfortunately, many of my friends who have never had a good morning breakfast seem to think that eating any kind of food at all is a sin. They think that eating something that has sugar or fat in it is a sin. And even though they don’t know it, they are also unknowingly causing thousands of people to suffer with diseases like diabetes.

So, I am going to share with you some healthy breakfast foods that you can enjoy while still keeping your waistline thin. For starters, porridge is one of my favorites. It has oatmeal in it and can be eaten like ordinary oatmeal. The great thing about porridge is that it is loaded with calcium, which is great for our bodies to use as well as for us to lose weight.

Pancakes are another great choice. Even though we often hear about the cholesterol-laden pancakes, there are healthy ways of having them. My favorite kind of pancakes is a wheat sandwich pancake mix. It has whole grains, which makes me feel full without loading myself down with tons of calories. If you’re not a big fan of wheat, try serving yourself some fresh fruit pancakes instead.

Another great breakfast option for people who are trying to lose weight is fruit. The important thing with fruit is that it contains natural sugars, so you don’t have to worry about feeling too full before you eat too much of it. The best way to eat fruit is by drinking a beverage that contains fruit. I recommend an apple!

scrambled eggs are definitely on the list of healthy breakfast foods that help you shed those pounds. I like to make a protein scramble for myself because it has protein and you can add other types of vitamins to it as well if you like. If you’re not too high on the hog about protein in general, then why not try omelets with spinach and mushrooms? Or how about a chicken and sausage egg omelet? It’s loaded with protein and has nice, small sized eggs that you can skim.

As far as vegetables go, there are many options. You can eat celery and beans, but I prefer to eat broccoli and cauliflower. I also enjoy potato, carrot and root vegetables, but there are many more on the menu as well. When shopping for vegetables, I suggest using a food processor to liquefy most of them so that you can eat them raw. Raw vegetables are better for you than cooked ones.

Finally, the last thing on the list of healthy breakfast foods is yogurt. Yes, I know that you probably have forgotten about all of the fruit and yogurt that you were probably eating throughout the day. But those healthy breakfasts will be just as good (and won’t be so messy) if you use some yogurt in the mornings. You can add some cream cheese and some fresh fruit, but I find that plain yogurt works best. Just remember that you don’t add too much to compensate for the probiotics in the yogurt.

End Note

As you can see, you don’t have to be in strict order of foods when it comes to having a healthy breakfast meal. Eggs, yogurt, vegetables and fruit can all be served during the same meal time. Just make sure that you are choosing them over other foods that may be higher in calories. It’s important to remember that you want to keep your overall meal time down to thirty minutes or less, so take a look at the list of healthy breakfast foods above and see what grabs your attention and fits into your dietary needs.
